Just now i heard some plastic bag sounds outside my house, i thought it's thief or something, but it turned out to be an uncle hanging national flag on the balcony. it's going to be 12 midnight. -_-

Went to the nus sci tea reception today, slept through a few parts cos my eyes were really tired. saw a quite a number of njco people. :X gosh luckily fongyu's going to the same faculty, and will most probably doing the same course as me, if not i would be so so lonely lar. she showed me this stack of notes that she got her friend to print out for her, list of modules etc. (she actually had more but she didnt bring everything today) i was so.. amazed. like i still dont know what's breadth, GEM, how many modules we must take, just to name a few. and when she's trying to explain those stuff to me over lunch, i couldnt understand what she's talking about half of the time. and fongyu's really kiasu, we spent our lunchtime planning our modules, lol. she's probably doing applied chem minoring in nanoscience. she's thinking so waaaaay ahead, like 3 or 4 years down the road and she sounds so excited. frankly speaking, i dont dare to think so far cos i may not be able to make it past this semester, considering what has happened lately, and looks like the condition may worsen. it's like, i have lost all the motivation to go to school, i just want to stay at home cos i dont know how much time we are left with. :'(

Anyway, so, we have sort of like drafted out our modules for sem 1. so now i have to do some research on the internet to see which are the do-able modules. heh. we will bid for our modules using the same number of points and ballot for our tutorials using the same rankings so that we can have the same timetable. Ohh and nus is HUGE, like we took this shuttle bus to central library for fun, then we decided not to alight in the end cos we were really tired. the bus drove us to the business school and around the hostels. some parts of the school look like little villages with small resort-like bungalows on each side of the road. heh. i think we have to bring a map for the first few weeks so that we wont get lost.

Argh super sian now. i went to the eye checkup at the sp optometry centre, funny thing is, the optician said my pupils are alright, but the nus doctor said my pupils are too dilated. instead, the optician now said that my eye pressure is too high, it may affect the nerves, and when the nerves die, i will lose my sight. i really dont want to turn blind lar!!!! :( i rem last time my jc chem teacher also has this problem too. argh the eye pressure test is very scary, you sit in front of this machine and focus on the light, then a gush of air shoots out from a hole suddenly without you knowing it. i tried like almost 10 times on my right eye cos i was so nervous and i kept getting error readings. i still have to come back 2 months later to do dunoe what tests lar! and today's checkup lasted for almost 2 hours, my eyes felt damn tired and strained cos i need to do a lot of focusing and the stduent kept shining the torch light onto my eye. she took a very long time to check my eye's power, but she's very patient. damn paiseh cos i have very bad myopic and astigmatism so i really cant see the small letters on the screen. oh ya i saw someone from my sec sch who's an optometry student at the clinic, she walked past the room and she shrieked to her friend. lol, her friend asked her to come in but she scared later i dunoe her then it will damn malu. her friend asked whether i know her or not, i rem her name lar actually. then after which she left the place same time as me, so we walked to the mrt together, erm a bit awkward cos i dunoe what to talk to her since we have never been in the same class before.

I think it is very depressing for someone to give up on themselves, refuse to listen or fight on, if really there's the case, then there's nothing much we can do already.

Super sian, was woken up in the morning by a postman from FedEx. i dont have the habit of waking up so early on days that i dont go out. before that i was having a pretty bad dream, i dreamt that some of my teeth came off, but it's not the first time im having this type of dreams, i dreamt of this kinda stuff regularly and it really scares me. :X so while i was sleeping, i heard somebody knocking and shouting 'FedEx' at the back of my mind, lol. i only realised after a few seconds that im supposed to recieve a parcel from overseas today, actually i did set my alarm but for some reasons it either didnt ring or i just simply slept through it. lol. quickly jumped out from my bed, didnt even have the time to look for my glasses or tidy my hair. i didnt know FedEx is so high tech, the postman actually handed me a palm top pen (i couldnt see properly without my glasses) to sign, i almost signed on the envelope, then he pointed to a palm top (i couldnt see) in front of me, asking me to sign on it. lol, he must be sniggering at me..

Very sad, someone close to me is going to leave me, as in forever and never comes back. i thought of all the empty spaces the person would leave behind when the person's really gone one day. maybe not yet, but soon. :(

Just finished reading this book a couple of days ago, very inspiring and thought-provoking. talks about death, marriage, working life, forgiveness etc. it is about this old man called morrie who's suffering from a terminal illness called ALS which affects his brain or sth, it renders him impossible to move about and do his daily business, then his student mitch who has lost touch with him for 16 years started visitng him on every tuesday. thereafter on every visits they talked about lots of stuff pertaining to life. sth like an inspirational book, but definitely much more enjoyable than those typical ones that we seen on the shelves. love the book when the author says something that aptly and very precisely conveys what i feel towards something, as if the sentiment is taken right out of my heart. death is a scary thing, i cant imagine myself dying or witnessing my closed ones' life slowing seeping away.

"When you learn how to die, you learn how to live."
"Death ends a life, not a relationship."
